2007 DXpedition to Agalega Islands 3B6 Newsletter No. 5 We would like to inform you that our team has found sponsors for our expedition and due to that fact our trip from Poland to Agalega starts on 28 May. We are planning up to 12-15 days of activity from Agalega (more details soon). The sign of the expedition will be given in later time after we gain a new license. Due to health problems Wojtek SP9PT is not going to join the expedition. The team consists of: SP9MRO - team leader , SP5BFX, SP3MGM, SP6EQZ, SP3RBR, SP3RBG, YL SP9SX and SP5XVY. We are going to execute QSOs using all frequencies permitted in the license. We are going to present our pilots in the following days. Expedition's QSL cards will be operated by Danuta SP9SX.
Our honour participants are: Valeryj RD3A ( RD3AF ) and Wojtek SP9PT, whom the team would like to thank for their great help. We would especially like to give our thanks also to Val RD3AF for helping to raise the funds for the expedition. We would not have made it without him. 2007 DXpedition to Agalega Islands 3B6 Newsletter No. 4 We would like to inform that our efforts to organize our expedition to Agalega Islands in an another time are heading towards the end. If we once again get the permission for stay, the ham's license and, more importantly, if we get to reserve the right ship, we would be ready to execute the connection with 3B6 during the 6-18 of June 2007. 2007 DXpedition to Agalega Islands 3B6 Newsletter No. 3 Today the decision to suspend the expedition to 3B6 Agalega had been taken. We will decide on March 15 whether it is postponed only or rather cancelled. The decision is due to enormous costs of the expedition that have much exceeded the estimated budget. The expedition was supported by PZK, SP-DX-C, G DX Foundation, EU DX Foundation and institutional sponsors as well as other hams from few countries. We would like to thank all of those. Our main sponsors have decided that the period between receiving the licenses and the time set by Mauritius’ government to start the ham’s activity is too short. Due to all of that expedition’s members are checking the possibility to postpone it until the 4th term of 2007 unless it collides with September’s expedition to St. Brandon. All of the donations will be immediately returned the same form they were paid. We hope that, in case of reorganizing the expedition to Agalega in the end of this year, our kind donors will be able to support us once again. We would like to thank those who supported our actions, especially those from Mauritius. Simultaneously we would like to apologize to all of those who along with us counted on QSO in March 2007.
