2007 DXpedition to Agalega Islands 3B6 Newsletter No. 9 from Port Louis Today the 3B6SP group has finished boarding equipment to the catamaran and tomorrow morning will start their trip to Agalega 3B6. The group will pass St. Brandon Isl., which is very close to the catamaran route and only one day sailing from Mauritius. We expect 4-5 days trip because of high level of the ocean and activity of volcano on Reunion. We have bought all important equipment on Mauritius and 1000 l of diesel for generators. We will try to work in the air during the trip under home callsigns /mm on all bands. If everything is OK, we will start radio activity from Agalega on Thursday, June 6. The team band plan is here. The whole team, our equipment and luggage are now on Mauritius. We have just unpacked our bags in the nice apartments close to the coast. Picture was taken on the Okecie airport in Warsaw just before our departure. More pictures we will download here later today. 3B6SP Team |
